About Me

The ocean is my happy place and has been for as long as I can remember. It has shaped the person I have become and I have dedicated my life to protecting it. I want to live in a world where any beach sand I sink my toes into, any dive site I cruise through, any water body my board cuts through isn't full of bits of plastic. I want future generations to be able to revel in the magic and beauty of our ocean in the same way that I have, and not have the new norm be more plastic bag sightings than sea turtle sightings.

I have been fortunate to have traveled all around the world studying our ocean and how connected to it we all are. Everywhere I go I see plastic waste - its found at the deepest parts of the ocean and the highest peaks on land - and I've decided to make changes in my life to curb my own single-use plastic consumption and reduce my waste generation. To be the change you want to see, you have to start somewhere!
